Green Flag
Denton Gardens was awarded Green Flag status in July 2024.
This accolade recognises the tremendous work that the volunteer gardeners and the committee of Friends of Denton Gardens have put in over the last five years. This award means that Denton Gardens is healthy, safe and secure, well maintained and clean. It is also environmentally managed with a focus on biodiversity and heritage.
The Green Flag Award is an international accreditation given to publicly accessible parks and open spaces, managed under licence from the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government – a UK Government department, by Keep Britain Tidy, who also administers the scheme in England.
