While the putting greens served visitors for many decades, the more modern 18‑hole ‘crazy/mini‑golf’ course was created in 2010 by Anthony Pope and Peter Emmerson planting attractive shrubs to enhance this treasured historical open space. It is very popular during the warmer months (closing November to March), the current 18‑hole challenge attracts local families, tourists and dedicated mini‐golf enthusiasts. In 2013 the site hosted the British Minigolf Association British Masters title tournament, where a 17‑year‑old teenager from Cambridge won at the Splash Point course.
The location is integral to Worthing’s seafront leisure offering, situated close to the promenade and other attractions such as the Beach House grounds, the sand‑sports courts, the East Beach Artists Studios and Splashpoint swimming pool and fitness centre.
